Hello, my name is Kelly Clark Boldt, y yo hablo Español.
I would like to get to know you, so I will tell you a few things about myself. You can then judge whether or not we would make a good team working together for your real estate needs.
First, I consider myself a citizen of the world. I’ve traveled to many other countries and lived for 15 years in Bolivia, South America before returning to the US and choosing North Carolina as my home. I love Pittsboro and Chatham County and have had clients all around the Triangle area. You might see my dog, Theo, a blonde Goldendoodle and me waking around the area, in parks nearby or downtown.
My husband, daughter and I went to Bolivia in 2001 so that I could work at a university that focuses on social and economic development and that serves many students who otherwise would not be able to receive a higher education. While there, I also worked with children and youth in a village where there was no high school. The kids and I created a small jewelry-making business called Initiativa, which means “initiative.” The jewelry that we made would be sold in the United States with the proceeds going to pay students’ transportation to a high school in the closest city. I also sponsored weekly classes about Learning Virtues through Art for children. Sometimes there would be as many as 80 kids who would come running to class – it was their chance to use crayons and paper and other art supplies, none of which they didn’t have at home.
After working at the university, I create my own real estate company. For ten years, I bought and sold properties and also built houses to sell. (In Spanish, no less!)
My academic and work experience prior to moving to South America was in Public Finance. I have master’s degrees from The George Washington University and Harvard University. I was the director of the Capital Budget for the District of Columbia and was the Deputy City Manager for the city of Philadelphia as well as serving in an executive position with Amtrak, the US passenger railroad. My career then took a turn to the non-profit sector where I was the Chief Financial Officer of a Philadelphia foundation and an educational non-profit.
I carried my love of real estate with me and became a Realtor/Broker when I returned to the states. I believe the tools I have honed through my varied career make me a strong broker for my clients. Working in Finance for 25 years has enabled me to know how to negotiate well for you and assist you in the financial side of your investment. For most, the largest investment they make is in their home. So, make sure you hire someone who can help you acquire the comfortable home you want and also make it your best investment.
I have a profound desire to give back to the world, and to my community in ways that require commitment and sacrifice. My finance background, and my devoted heart have served me well. Perhaps I can help you too.

En algunos momentos habían mas que 80 niños que vendrían corriendo a clase – que era su oportunidad de usar lápices de colores y papel y otros materiales de arte, que no tenían en sus casas.
Después de trabajar en la universidad, yo creo mi propia compañía de bienes raíces. Pata diez años, lo compran y venden propiedades y también construido casas a la venta.
Mi experiencia académica y laboral antes de mudarme a Sudamérica fue en Finanzas Públicas. Tengo maestrías de la Universidad George Washington y la Universidad de Harvard. Fui director del Presupuesto de Capital para el Distrito de Columbia y Gerente Adjunto de la Ciudad de la ciudad de Filadelfia, además de servir en un puesto ejecutivo en Amtrak, el ferrocarril de pasajeros de los Estados Unidos. Luego, mi carrera dio un giro hacia el sector sin fines de lucro, donde fui Director Financiero de una fundación de Filadelfia y una organización educativa sin fines de lucro.
Llevé mi amor por los bienes raíces y me convertí en agente de bienes raíces / corredor cuando regresé a los Estados Unidos.
